The 13th edition of IEEE cloud computing technology and science (CloudCom) Conference, sponsored by IEEE Computer Society and its Technical Committee on Cloud Computing (TCCLD), PMU-C, NVIDIA, AWS, T.C.C. Technology, and Yip In Tsoi, at the Millennium Hilton Bangkok on December 13–16, 2022 has finally ended on a high note, parting with new innovations, ideas, friendships, and much more! Due to the global COVID-19 epidemic, the conference has been pushed back due to travel regulations and organizational restrictions. However, this year we are enthusiastic to bring this conference back as an in-person conference. The IEEE Conference was the first conference dedicated to cloud computing technology and science (CloudCom). CloudCom has been a prime international forum for researchers and industry professionals to exchange the latest technological advances in the state of the art and practice of cloud computing. CloudCom serves as a forum for all participants to share ideas, explore new challenges, present innovative solutions, and explore new technological trends with collaboration opportunities to define the future of cloud computing.
Cloudcom has offered several special focuses and programs for researchers, engineers, and students from the fields of cloud computing, big data, systems architecture, service-oriented architecture, virtualization, security and privacy, and high-performance computing. With 36 research papers submitted, riveting research tracks such as Cloud infrastructure & Operation and Management, Cloud Services & Applications, Security Privacy & Trust, Edge Computing & IoT Distributed Cloud, and Workshop & Open Infrastructure as Code are no doubt awaiting participants' appreciation.
With intriguing keynote sessions by various well-known academics, Cloudcom proves to be an inspiring journey. In each keynote session, intriguing topics are presented to participants, including Keynote session I: The Cloud Will Become the Next Generation Telecommunications Infrastructure by Dr. Victor Bahl, Keynote session II: Critical Infrastructure Cloud Computing by Dr. Martin Gilje Jaatun, Keynote session III: Edge Intelligence and Mission-critical Industrial Applications by Prof. Albert Zomaya and Keynote Session IV: Hybrid Cloud Security and Compliance by Prof. Hubertus Franke. Various workshops are also offered to participants as hands-on activities to facilitate learning and interactions. An excellent opportunity for social interactions and deep conversations with like-minded individuals, potentially creating new ideas and innovations. Last but not least, our own CMKL University AiCE undergraduate students have issued invitations to various distinguished guests to display their amazing talent by presenting their R&D projects. CMKL University is proud to be one of the capstones that shape future generations of engineers in Thailand.
This largest academic conference, hosted by CMKL University in the splendid city of Bangkok, has explored modern services and software science in the field of cloud computing and all co-located activities and has been formally promoted by the IEEE Computer Society since 2003. This conference is an amazing opportunity to participate in keynote sessions from academia and industry leaders, tutorials, and workshops from our supporting organizations. A special dinner on the cruise ride through the beautiful Chao Phraya river is offered, allowing guests to view Bangkok from another perspective and foster camaraderie among researchers and practitioners inside and outside the conference room. All of these aspects have made the 13th edition of the IEEE cloud computing technology and science (CloudCom) Conference one of the most successful yet!
