Biography

Dylan Powell is an experienced CAD Engineer with a rich and diverse background in product design, development, and commercialisation. Originally from the United Kingdom, Dylan graduated from Exeter College, De Montfort University and Loughborough University. During his career in London Dylan participated in conducting a national longitudinal research study, where he uncovered critical mechanisms underpinning the dynamics of entrepreneurial value creation in unconventional communities within the city. This research provided valuable insights into the academic understanding of how entrepreneurial value is created in non-traditional environments. Dylan’s contributions to both industry and academia are grounded in his expertise in innovation management. His career spans various roles, including design consulting, product commercialisation strategy, and logistics management. This blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience positions him decisively in bridging the gap between academic research and market application. In 2023, Dylan transitioned full-time into academia and later joined the Entrepreneurship and Innovation department at CMKL University. He is committed to applying his deep industry experience and research insights to help enhance the university's capability to commercialise emerging technologies, particularly within the field of artificial intelligence. His efforts ensure that students are well-prepared to succeed in the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
