I am a data scientist that merges the experience in academia, research, and industry, with a solid theoretical background in statistics. I got the bachelor degree in mathematical engineering from the National Polytechnique Institute (IPN), studying abroad at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). I hold a master and a PhD degrees in probability and statistics from the Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT). Through my stay at CIMAT, I got the David Sprott Award, being an annual prize granted to the best exam in the field of statistics, and was in a research stay at the National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (INRIA). After my PhD, I worked as a senior data scientist at the Bajio Bank (BanBajio), and as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC). Currently, I am lecturer at the Ibero-American University, and assistant professor at CMKL University. I have been involved in several data science projects including the automotive, food, and financial industries, and collaborated in multidisciplinary research groups focused in ecology and AI problems. My current research interests include computational statistics, inference with missing data, causality and causal inference, and data science and machine learning.
