Mr. Piriya Khempon is a distinguished Thai diplomat and foreign policy strategist, formerly served as the Thai Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. His tenure as ambassador strengthened Thailand’s ties with one of its most significant global partners, advancing bilateral trade, cultural exchange, and diplomatic collaboration.

Following his ambassadorial service, he assumed various leadership and advisory roles. Since 2024, he has served as a Board Member of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, guiding the institution’s strategic direction and policy initiatives. Since 2022, he has been a Member of the Board of Directors at Sahapattana Inter Holding Public Co., Ltd. and Banpu Public Co., Ltd., contributing his expertise in international relations and corporate governance. He also fosters entrepreneurship and innovation in his role on the Executive Board of Chiang Mai University’s Science Park, where he supports the development of pioneering research and commercialization endeavors.

Earlier in his career, he provided counsel as an Advisor to the Thai Trade Representative in the Prime Minister’s Office in 2024 and as an Advisor to Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, from 2021 to 2022. His background in diplomacy and global engagement underscores a deep commitment to advancing Thailand’s economic and educational ambitions, making him a valued leader in both the public and private sectors.
