ThaiBev: Efficient and Scalable Logistics Operations and Anomaly Detection Based on Large Data

Multi-national manufacturers are facing logistical complications regarding complexity and scalability as the number of independent agents operating within supply chains increases. To address these issues faced by Thai Beverage Logistics (TBL), researchers from CMKL University and Carnegie Mellon University have developed a scalable abstraction modeler for large logistics operations in collaboration with ThaiBev. Known as Smart Logistics, the software is used to cut logistics costs by maintaining more accurate inventory, save transportation costs by identifying the most efficient shipping routes, and provide more timely updates following anomaly detection. By addressing suboptimal processes in logistics operations, Smart Logistics will significantly reduce operational costs while improving performance and efficiency.
