
CMKL University has announced a strategic visit to the People’s Republic of China to strengthen academic and research collaborations with the China University of Geosciences (CUGB). The visit took place from June 29 to July 2, 2025, in Beijing and Hainan Province.
The CMKL delegation included Assoc. Prof. Supan Tungjitkusolmun, President of CMKL University; Asst. Prof. Akkarit Sangpetch, Program Director; and Dr. Dai Chao, Associate Director of International Affairs, Asia-Pacific. Together, they engaged with senior leadership and academic partners from CUGB to explore expanded opportunities for student and faculty collaboration on an international scale.

Highlights of the visit included a key meeting with the President of CUGB in Beijing on June 30, followed by a visit to the CUGB campus in Hainan Province on July 1. During the campus visit, the delegation explored facilities and discussed pathways for joint initiatives in education, research, and innovation.
This visit underscores CMKL University’s commitment to building meaningful global partnerships and advancing opportunities for cross-border academic exchange. The collaboration with CUGB is expected to open new avenues for research cooperation, student mobility, and the strengthening of ties between the two institutions.
