CMKL Launches AI Inspiration Saturday with a Focus on Responsible, Real-World AI Adoption

New monthly series brings CMKL faculty and the public together to examine how artificial intelligence can move from promising technology to responsible, practical adoption.

CMKL University launched its first AI Inspiration Saturday on September 26, 2026, at Kloud by KBank in Siam Square, opening a new monthly series designed to connect the public with practical perspectives on artificial intelligence, its real-world applications, and the questions that emerge as AI becomes more widely adopted.

The inaugural session, “Adoption: From Working to Widely Used,” centered on a fundamental question: Just because we can use AI, does it mean we should? And when AI is the right solution, what does it take to create meaningful value while managing the risks that come with deployment?

Two Perspectives on AI Adoption

Dr. Raveekiat Singhaphandu, faculty member at CMKL University, examined the challenges and responsibilities surrounding AI adoption. His session encouraged participants to look beyond whether an AI system performs successfully in a demonstration and consider what can happen when it enters real-world environments.

From hidden limitations and potential loopholes to unintended consequences, the discussion highlighted the importance of thoughtful implementation, appropriate safeguards, and keeping humans involved in critical decisions.

Tianwei Jing, faculty member at CMKL University, approached AI adoption from the perspective of opportunity and implementation. Drawing on practical business use cases, he explored how businesses, SMEs, and industries can apply AI to improve workflows, address operational challenges, and translate emerging technologies into tangible value.

Together, the two perspectives highlighted a central challenge facing organizations today: successful AI adoption requires both the ability to recognize what technology can enable and the judgment to understand where, when, and how it should be used.

Bringing Real AI Questions to the Faculty

Beyond the talks, participants joined the AI Clinic, where they brought their own questions, projects, and use cases directly to CMKL faculty. The clinic generated strong engagement around practical challenges in AI implementation and adoption, creating an opportunity for participants to discuss how AI could be applied within their own work and organizations.

The event also featured CMKL’s SOP Clinic, led by Apirujee Rujirek, Associate Director of the AiCE Programs at CMKL University. Participants received practical guidance on developing a strong Statement of Purpose and communicating their experiences, motivations, and future goals more effectively.

AI Inspiration Saturday reflects CMKL’s broader approach to AI education: connecting technical knowledge with responsible implementation, practical engineering, and real-world impact. By opening these conversations to students, professionals, developers, and the wider public, the series aims to create a space where people can not only learn about AI, but also critically examine how it can be put into practice.

AI Inspiration Saturday will return next month with two CMKL faculty members, a new topic, and another opportunity for participants to bring their questions, ideas, and projects into the conversation. The series is free and open to everyone.
