An Austrian statesman, Dr. Gusenbauer served as Federal Chancellor of Austria (2007–2008) and President of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (2000–2008). He holds a doctorate in Political Science from the University of Vienna and an honorary doctorate from the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. Since leaving office, he has held numerous academic affiliations, including visiting scholar positions at Harvard and Brown, and chairs or sits on the boards of multiple corporations, including STRABAG SE and several SIGNA entities.
