A career diplomat, Mr. Piriya served as Thailand's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China (2017–2019) and to Jordan (2012–2014). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Chiang Mai University and a Master of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics. His thirty-five-year Ministry of Foreign Affairs career included postings in New York and Shanghai, and service as Chief of Staff to Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai. He currently sits on several boards, including Banpu and Sahapattana Inter Holding.
