A distinguished Thai statesman and legal scholar, Dr. Surakiart served as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs (2001–2005), and Minister of Finance (1995–1996). He holds an S.J.D. and LL.M. from Harvard Law School and an M.A.L.D. from Tufts University, and was an ASEAN candidate for United Nations Secretary-General. He currently chairs the Asian Peace and Reconciliation Council and serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of CMKL University (2018–present). His career spans extensive diplomatic, academic, corporate, and philanthropic leadership, complemented by numerous royal decorations, honorary doctorates, and international speaking engagements.
